At Juan N. Seguin Elementary, we believe every child deserves a place where they are seen, supported, and inspired to thrive—and that’s exactly what you’ll find here. Built in 2002 and located in the heart of Southeast Houston, our campus serves approximately 384 students in a vibrant, inclusive learning community.

We are proud to be a part of HISD’s New Education System (NES), which means we are committed to delivering high-quality instruction in every classroom, every day. Our passionate educators use data-driven strategies and rigorous, engaging curriculum to help every student grow and succeed.

At Seguin, we celebrate the power of language and culture through our exceptional Dual Language Program, offered from Pre-K through 5th grade. Students have the opportunity to become bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish—an incredible asset in today’s world. Each grade level is supported by a strong team of teachers, including a dual language dyad and an ESL teacher, who work together to meet the needs of every learner.
